Filing a takedown notice

Email artists@distribeats.in with the subject line "DMCA Notice" and include all of the following:

  • Your full name, address, phone number and email.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you own.
  • Direct links to the infringing release (store URL, ISRC or UPC).
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised agent.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

Valid notices are actioned within 5 business days. We pull the release from stores, freeze any royalties tied to it and notify the uploading account with a copy of the notice.

Counter-notice

If your release was removed in error, reply with a counter-notice containing your contact details, the removed release, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to jurisdiction in your country of residence. We may restore the release after 10 business days if the claimant does not pursue the matter.

Repeat infringers

Three valid strikes terminate the account permanently. Uploading music you do not own is also a violation of our Fraud Policy and voids any pending royalty balance.
